The sights and sounds of Vancouver 🇨🇦🇨🇦

Today was a relaxing one with a walk through the streets, more buildings for me and some shopping as well.

We decided to go back to Canada Place and take a ride on the “Canada flyover”. It’s one of those rides that gives you the feeling that your flying, when in fact your feet are dangling just 20 metres off the floor. Unfortunately the 20 minutes goes so quickly as you soar across Canadian skies, I loved this it was awesome and increased my excitement for our drive through the Canadia Rockies and surroundings after we have cruised Alaska.

Some more walking and then we arrived at our final destination of the day The Old Spaghetti Factory in Gastown Vancouver where I was hoping we’d be joined by one of the four ghosts in residence. During our tour last night this place was declared the most haunted in Vancouver and so I couldn’t let the opportunity slip by without investigating myself.

Unfortunately it was busy and so I didn’t get to sit in the tram that is inside the restaurant as apparently there is a tram conductor that at times let’s patrons know that he there during dinner. We were told that no one is sure whether he died on the “Number 53” trolley car or from an accident that happened at the same location.

The second ghost in residence is described as a ‘little red man’ with flaming coloured hair who likes to stand behind people and call their name – that’s not creepy at all.

Number three and number four ghost are both little kids. The first one is a little boy who has vacant eye sockets when you come up close to him, he likes to be chased and often bends cutlery. Often hiding under a table and when you lift it you see the wailing eyeless little boy. The final ghost is a little girl holding a balloon who is looking for her mummy, she not scary just sad.😢

We were told on last nights tour that a number of staff have only lasted one shift as the little boy is particularly scary. A psychic has been and confirmed the presence of ghosts and a vortex at the back of the restaurant….just a little bit scary 😣😣.

Unfortunately (or maybe it was fortunate) the only people who we spoke to or saw while we were eating dinner where in this realm, oh yes and I should say the food and beer were great.

The other thing about this restaurant is that it is full of antiques (which could be the reason for the ghosts of course) which are quite lovely.

It was a fun if not slightly disappointing place to have our last night before heading to Seattle.

Nothing to see here 🤦‍♀️
Steam Clock also in Gastown and has a whistle chime that goes off every quarter of a hour.
