Well g’day Vancouver !

We have landed this morning in Vancouver a city known for its beauty, liveability and marijuana (straight from trip advisor so it must be correct). We are first time visitors to this part of Canada with our last visit way back in 1993 to the wonderful city of Toronto.

We had a great flight , only 13 hours with Air Canada who I understand has won a couple of best airline titles, including Canadian airline of the year – I have checked there is more than one airline ⭐️⭐️. The direct flight from Brisvegas was great with a really quick connection from Canberra this morning..well yesterday morning technically I guess.

We arrived at 7.00 am Canada time and caught the train into the city (very straightforward) found our way to a local Starbucks (after leaving our bags at the place we are staying room yet unseen) to get my fix and use the free wifi 💕. We then wandered down to the cruise terminal and Harbour to get our bearings as we will be cruising back into here in a couple of weeks time. There is nothing quite like a beautiful Harbour on a sunny day, just sitting and people watching – even if your eyes are hanging out of your head. There are plenty of seaplanes taking happy tourists off for excursions to Whistler or glaciers that are not too faraway. Just $315.00 CAD for the Whistler Grand Circle..not for us today.

Yep Vancouver is indeed beautiful. There is a real mixture of different styles of architecture that makes the skyline really eclectic and interesting. I wasn’t at all surprised that this fab city is often referred to as the “City of Glass”. We can’t wait to explore this fantastic place over the next couple of days before making our way to Seattle.

  1. Enjoy Vancouver, we did, has a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. Nice walk from Canada Place to Stanley Park along the water, few drink stops along the way 🍻. Homeless/drug situation pretty confronting. Which ship are you on Fi. Lots of love Tanya x
